SHACHAH

Hebrew, Old Testament

to fall down flat, prostrate
(see 2 Chronicles 20:18, Psalm 29:2)

Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the LORD worshiping the LORD. 2 Chronicles 20:18
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name. Worship the LORD in holy attire. Psalm 29:2

LATREIA

GREEK, New Testament

service for God
(see Romans 12:1; Hebrews 9:1)

Now even the first covenant had regulations for divine worship and the earthly sanctuary. Heb 9:1
Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Rom 12:1

The Word "Praise" in the Bible

HALAL

Hebrew, Old Testament

base of hallelujah, to boast about the Lord in a kind of foolish way, meaning they were excited, giddy, and probably danced as if no one was looking
(see 2 Chronicles 20:19, 21; Psalm 18:3)

The Levites from the sons of the Kohathites and from the sons of the Korahites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a very loud voice. 2 Chon 20:19
When he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who sang to the LORD and those who praised Him in holy attire. They went out before the army and said, “Give thanks to the LORD, for His faithfulness is everlasting.” 2 Chon 20:21
I call upon the LORD who is worthy to be praised. I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:3

BARAKAH

to kneel while praising God (see 2 Chronicles 20:26; Psalm 16:7; 18:46)

 On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, for they blessed the LORD there. Therefore they have named that place  “The Valley of Beracah” until today. 2 Chon 20:26

YADAH

to give thanks
