It’s just a plastic tent stake – but with the Word of God it becomes a powerful weapon.
Take an active step in your battle and stake the borders of your property or community and government buildings in your area. This act faithfully calls out for God to bless the land and rescue His people. And it is a declaration that the land was created by Him, still belongs to Him, and exists for His purposes today.
This activation of faith for a Christian is like that of the Jews in Deuteronomy 6:8-9.
What Are The Stakes?

Steve’s journey learning about spiritual warfare got serious when a non-Christian man came to him with a problem: he said he had demons on his property. Steve didn’t know how to respond, so he silently prayed as the man talked. After the quick prayer, Steve had a strange verse pop into his head from Deuteronomy 6 that instructed God’s people to put Scripture on their gates and doorposts. So Steve & this non-Christian man who was desperate for help put Bible verses on ordinary tent stakes. Then they placed these stakes in the ground on the corners of this man’s property, read the verses out loud, and prayed for God’s protection. Everything changed. The man confessed Jesus as Lord, was baptized, and is now living faithfully in peace and safety as a Christian. Others heard about this event and copied this idea, and Spiritual Warfare Stakes became a tool of faith spreading across the globe.

Introduction:
Welcome to today’s episode of The Presence of God! I'm your host, Niccie, and today we’re going to tackle a powerful topic—Overcoming Fear. Fear and anxiety can grip our hearts, steal our peace, and keep us from fully walking in God’s purpose for our lives. But here’s the truth: God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind!
THE PROBLEM:
Take a moment to reflect—do any of these resonate with you?
Feeling paralyzed by fear or anxiety in certain areas of your life?
Struggling with uncertainty about the future?
Wanting to trust God more but feeling overwhelmed by worry?
If you can relate, know this: You are not alone, and fear is not from God! Today, we’re going to lean into His promises and discover how to walk in faith instead of fear.
THE WORD:
Let’s hear what the Word has to say about overcoming fear and anxiety:
2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV): "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline."
Fear is not from God—He gives us power, love, and self-discipline instead.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV): "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
God is always with us, giving us strength and support.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV): "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Prayer brings supernatural peace that surpasses understanding.
1 John 4:18 (NIV): "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."
God’s perfect love casts out all fear!
Psalm 34:4 (NIV): "I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears."
Seeking God leads to deliverance from fear.
THE GIFT:
Trusting in God’s love and power brings:
Peace: No more restless nights—God’s peace will guard your heart.
Courage: You can step out in faith, knowing God goes before you.
Freedom: Fear no longer has a hold on you—you are free to live boldly in Christ.
Deeper Trust in God: As you lean on Him, your faith will grow stronger.
THE CHOICE:
We have free will and must choose daily to trust God instead of fear.
Will you surrender your worries to Him?
Will you replace fear-filled thoughts with God’s truth?
Will you step out in faith, believing that He is in control?

Where do you need to invite God’s peace into your life?
How can you actively choose faith over fear today?

"Lord, we come before You today, confessing the times we’ve put other things before You. Help us to prioritize You above all else.
