It’s just a plastic tent stake – but with the Word of God it becomes a powerful weapon.
Take an active step in your battle and stake the borders of your property or community and government buildings in your area. This act faithfully calls out for God to bless the land and rescue His people. And it is a declaration that the land was created by Him, still belongs to Him, and exists for His purposes today.
This activation of faith for a Christian is like that of the Jews in Deuteronomy 6:8-9.
What Are The Stakes?

Steve’s journey learning about spiritual warfare got serious when a non-Christian man came to him with a problem: he said he had demons on his property. Steve didn’t know how to respond, so he silently prayed as the man talked. After the quick prayer, Steve had a strange verse pop into his head from Deuteronomy 6 that instructed God’s people to put Scripture on their gates and doorposts. So Steve & this non-Christian man who was desperate for help put Bible verses on ordinary tent stakes. Then they placed these stakes in the ground on the corners of this man’s property, read the verses out loud, and prayed for God’s protection. Everything changed. The man confessed Jesus as Lord, was baptized, and is now living faithfully in peace and safety as a Christian. Others heard about this event and copied this idea, and Spiritual Warfare Stakes became a tool of faith spreading across the globe.

Introduction:
Today we’ll discuss How
THE PROBLEM: Take a minute and think about this…
Are you facing a challenge that feels overwhelming, something where you need more than just your own strength?
Have you been trying to handle it on your own
Pushing through with sheer willpower?
Perhaps you’ve prayed
Sought counsel from trusted friends, yet the situation remains unchanged.
Maybe it’s a deep-seated fear or a persistent struggle that seems insurmountable.
Let’s explore three powerful points, grounded in Scripture, to help you lean into the presence of God — so that your faith can grow and you can receive the His great POWER activatED in and through you.
THE WORD: (Main Teaching) Todays teaching is based on
Hebrews 11:6: "And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."
a. Context: This verse is part of the broader "Faith Hall of Fame" in Hebrews 11, where the author highlights the faith of Old Testament saints who trusted God despite not seeing immediate results.
b. Key Themes: 1) The necessity of faith to please God and draw near to Him. 2) The certainty that God exists and 3) actively rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
1. (LET’S BREAK THEM DOWN IN ORDER) The Necessity of Faith
Definition of Faith:
Faith is trusting in what we cannot see, believing in God's promises even when circumstances suggest otherwise.
It’s more than a feeling; it’s a deep-rooted conviction that God is who He says He is.
Scriptural References:
Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."
2 Corinthians 5:7: "For we walk by faith, not by sight."
Reflection:
Think of a time when you had to step out in faith without knowing the outcome.
How did God show up for you? Or, if you're still waiting, how can you strengthen your faith in this season?
2. Drawing Near to God
Belief in God’s Existence:
To draw near to God, we must first believe that He is real and active in our lives.
It’s about trusting in His presence, even when we don’t "feel" it.
Impact on Believers:
Drawing near to God transforms us. It brings peace, guidance, and the strength to face whatever comes our way.
Scriptural References:
James 4:8: "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
Psalm 145:18: "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth."
THE GIFT: The Rewards of Seeking God
God’s Promises:
God rewards those who earnestly seek Him with His presence, peace, and sometimes, tangible blessings.
It’s not always immediate, but God’s timing and rewards are perfect.
Scriptural References:
Jeremiah 29:13: "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Matthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
THE CHOICE: Friend, we have free will, and Hebrews 11:6 emphasizes the importance of faith in drawing near to God and receiving His rewards. We have a choice to live by faith or not.
Learn to love the act of surrendering, trusting God’s wisdom and sovereignty as He leads you into a life filled with His presence and blessings.

Consider the areas of your life where you need to strengthen your faith.
How can you seek God more earnestly and trust in His promises?
Living by Faith:
If you haven’t yet, take a step of faith today. Trust that God is with you, guiding you, and will reward your diligent pursuit of Him.
Gratitude and Worship:
Respond with gratitude for God’s presence in your life.
Worship Him for being faithful, for rewarding those who earnestly seek Him.
