I’m Melissa Lanz - Mom to two amazing boys, wife, and founder of The Fresh 20.
I started The Fresh 20 in 2010 as a solution for me and my friends. I was determined to reduce stress and stop wasting food. With any good challenge, my creative problem solving and experimentation kicked into high gear. Soon, friends noticed my family was eating differently - eating fresh and delicious all the time and loving it! They asked what we were doing and how we were doing it...and The Fresh 20 emerged.

Do you have a shopping app?
No, we don’t and here’s why. Our meal plans are chef-driven and nutritionist approved. They’re like puzzles that go together with each other. So for someone to come in and say “I want to change it.” That’s not going to work. You can’t drag and drop your favorite recipes and create your own plan. You can’t say, “hey, I don’t like artichokes and deselect artichokes from your menu.”
But you can absolutely go to our Facebook page and say: “Hey you guys, I don’t like artichokes. What would you guys sub with?” and you’ll get tons of answers from the community.
This is how we stand by our Zero Food Waste principle. The ingredients are selected for each menu to ensure you don’t have extra zucchini or corn tortilla left.
